What is Dermal-Needling?

Dermal-Needling is a new innovation in aesthetics for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance for clients in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, and Tampa Bay.

During this procedure, a sterile dermal roller with hundreds of tiny needles lightly rolled over the area needing improvement. It is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce elastin and collagen. The process from needling offers the skin to repair itself and this process results in the improvement of the appearance of softer wrinkles.

Using a dermal needling roller (used only once) is a form of resurfacing. The dermal needling roller can also be used gently around the eyes and mouth to improve fine lines.

Dermal-needling also creates better delivery to serums, which can be used to help improve the appearance of the skin.

How is the procedure done?

How many treatments will I need?

Some clients only require a single treatment. Karen usually recommends a series to achieve maximum results., it is recommended for treatments to be about 4-6 weeks apart. The older the client the more time between treatments.

For patients with deep wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, advanced photo-aging, Karen recommends it is necessary to receive 6-8 sessions at 4-6-week intervals.
