Members of the Alliance for Safe Practice

I. Shall conduct themselves in a manner which will merit the respect of the community for personas engaged in profession.

II. Shall carry out their professional duties responsibly and with integrity.

III. Shall treat members, peers, and other colleagues with respect, fairness, and good faith.

IV. Shall collect and present facts without bias, and not allow personal views to influence judgment, interpretation, analysis and presentation.

V. Shall not discuss with or disclose to any person not authorized by the Alliance or delegated member any information, data, result, report or proposal arising from committee research, nor cause or allow confidential information to be misused or to be published in any way without the permission of the Alliance.

VI. Shall not use information acquired during any previous committee research which in any way could be detrimental to another member.

VII. Shall recognize and respect intellectual property rights.

VIII. Trade journalists shall seek the truth and report it; test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent error. Deliberate distortion is never permissible.

IX. Shall distinguish between our personal convictions and professional duties and do not allow our personal beliefs to interfere with the representation of the aims of our organization.
